Onions in PGI Balsamic Vinegar of Modena

Ingredients

1 kg of onions
Extra virgin olive oil
Salt
1/2 l of PGI Balsamic Vinegar of Modena

Preparation

Peel and cut the onions into pieces 1.5 cm thick.
Put a splash of extra virgin olive oil and the onions in a pan: when they start to fry, add salt and water, leaving them to cook slowly for around 30 minutes.

Add the PGI Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and leave to cook until the sauce has thickened.
